Wow your buyers with a little Jill Vegas gusto

It's been said that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. As cliché as that saying may be, it is indeed true. There's nothing like the impact of a first impression when you are trying to sell your home. It's difficult to erase the psychological clutter that distracts buyers from the selling points of your property.

Many people often get confused about the concept of "staging" an apartment. But really, you can think of staging as "advertising" your apartment. To "depersonalize" this particular property, we removed an extensive art collection, and purged "stuff" and collections from the kitchen. We spruced up the hallway, so that the first thing a potential buyer could do was to focus on the grand space of the property.

Just like when I worked in retail advertising, I created a visual, 30-second commercial, in order to sell the space as a product. The result was in two weeks, the owners accepted an offer for $9.3 million. Now that's success.
